My doc is great. He asked me a few questions but didn't for one second hesitate to remove it. He asked if I have been having mood swings and I said yes and he said that is a common issue he is now hearing from other women..he says he removes about 50% of the mirenas that he puts in. I told him that I felt like my blood pressure was skyrocketing and he said, "can't be sure it is from the mirena but I don't doubt that it is making you retain water which could be the problem".

The nurse gave me 6 months worth of Loestrin just in case I want to use it until my husband gets the procedure. I don't think I will use it though- my body is done with hormones.
