Re: Alternative Health for Dummies
Well said, Ohfor07!
The one saving grace for this cannned, and purchased, world, is that the human brain is quicker and smarter, and retains more, than any 'technology' that will ever be sold.
Luckily, with an ounce of wits, everyone may come to the day when they say, "You want me to buy WHAT!"
All canned hype loses all meaning when one comes face to face with the truth.
Good for you for daring to tell about '---- for Dummies'. I'll bet my bottom dollar those folks you steered to simplicity changed their attitudes towards many, many things. There ARE answers they can understand. And real values beneath the piled hype.
Trudeau may have had a real healing experience to tell, but I think he may have gotten trapped into having the bucks to fight 'city hall'. Just a guess.
Lots of that amalgamation, and selling 'connections', out there, these days.
Just today I was searching for a certain 'green' architect and I could only come up with a company which takes a slice of the action of many architectural firms' projects...for gathering them under one 'umbrella'.
I once looked for a 'holistic' dentist, on the Internet. Every 'hit' I looked at directed me to a site, out of India, that first wanted me to choose the service I wanted from a list of very technical terms...none of which were 'holistic'.
If I ticked off the services I wanted, they MAY have directed me to a dentist on their lists who practiced in a city near me. I'll never know...I didn't get that far.
Now THAT'S working the Internet!
Of course, I had no way of knowing what lists of potential customers my email address would end up on. (I just tell them I have no money, anyway. I could, I suppose, start crying and tell them Mrs. F. died, after having drunk up her grandchildrens' inheritances. :D People who buy lists of potential customers hate that.)
I think I am better off asking my neighbors...I think we all are.
I remember real customer service, too...and trustworthiness.
