That is because psychologists understand the human brain and mind better than you do. We are open minded and accept humanity for what it is.
We study people like you because no matter how straight forward, certain, and boring you try to come off as, closed-off minds like you are the most interesting.

No certain type of behavior is promoted in psychology. Behavior in general is promoted. If you are repressed and stuck in the mind set of the 1950's, that's your problem and nobody else's. Moral character adjusts like inflation. You have a very uninformed view on your surrounding members of society. Perhaps once you learn to accept yourself, you will learn to accept others.

DO NOT negatively criticize those who choose to study or practice in a field, such as psychology, that is open to everything...because that's was we are studying - EVERYTHING. If the human is capable of doing something, then it is not necessarily abnormal.

I find it absolutely ridiculous for you to suggest that acceptance equates to a lack of moral character. Were you disowned by a set of gay parents for being heterosexual or something? Christ. Get over yourself. Life is about experiences, not reservations.
