Re: Flashback....egad
awww, thank you for your story! I still think Hawaii is a special challenge because, as you say, of being isolated from the network of support. Some stations in the states could be better. And employment is still difficult, not because I don't speak Japanese, but because I'm not from here. I just about went nuts for a while. The job helps very much. Now with limited vacation, it's hard to visit home and spend time with my hubby when he comes back. It's not like it's feasible to take 2 days off and visit family for a long weekend - it's expensive and 14 hour travel one way!
I see many young military wives, often with kids, struggling out here. A friend of mine actually stayed with me last night because she and her husband are having troubles and she feels lost being away from family. This is partly why I'm proud that I built up the needed skills to handle this. It sucks sometimes, but that's about it. Wooo I sure did have some horny moments these last 2 weeks, hence the post with that GORGEOUS guy (could he have been flirting with me? ... doesn't matter, *slaps self*). I think it's fading now, thank goodness! I think it's cute about the guy with the keys. :) It's nice to get the attention, yeah? S'okay, because all this stuff is worth it for the wonderful man that I get to come home to me! *cheesy sappy grin*
