Castor oil and blood clots

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows if a castor oil pack can be safely used on the liver if one has a large blood clot in the leg.
My dad has and i'd like to help him start cleansing his liver, but we're wary of doing an Epsom Salts flush, as the magnsium may dilate his arteries enough that the clot will move about.
I have searched the net to find if there is any mention of castor oil being able to break up a clot, but havent found anything. All indications are its a green light.
