thinking of having a tooth pulled

hey there
i alreday spent a lot of money a few years ago to have all my mercury removed with a "huggins"dentist in london. i still have one problem tooth. it had been filled and capped. it was giving me weird feelings so i had it checked and in the end they gave me a root canal. i was thinking then just to have it pulled but most dentists try to convince you not to pull your teeth. so yeah, still i have very weird feelings coming from this tooth sometimes, never quite feels right. i have had constant candida and lots of bowel probs for last five years and was wondering if this cold be one of the causes. i'm thinking to go this week and have it pulled. can i go to any dentist to do this? im in south of UK nr LOndon/brighton. does it matter who i go to. Also for cosmetic purposes how damaging is it to have an implant( something permanently screwed inti my jaw?) is this better than a bad root canal?
