Re: Baby Eczema success story
Thanks for this anecdote. For someone who has only developed eczema-like problems late in life, I now have a new appreciation both for those who suffer from a form of eczema as well as those who've found something that helps.
I agree with the other poster. Orthodox medicine and their doctors are basically worthless when it comes to the people trained to rely on them for some genuine doctoring; including eczema too. They know what to call it - "oh, you have eczema". In fact, they've done a great job for over a century in knowing what to call it, but this seems to be where they called it a day. They are abysmal at knowing what eczema actually is, what causes it, how to successfully treat it. I guess they draw the line at having come up with a nice name for it and leave the rest - namely sufficient treatment, to those who have it. Find a doctor happy to examine you and quickly say "oh, you have eczema", then ask them "okay, it's nice you have a name to call it, but what is it?", and they then they turn their head sideways, like a dog that sees or hears something alien, and say something to the effect of "uhh, well, gee, we don't know, but if I hear anything promising, I'll get back to you on that". They might even go so far as to attempt covering up their ignorance by giving you a dose of blatant lies; "it might be a
food allergy ".
food allergy has to be among the most highly exploited and most regularly cited misnomers that doctors are want to cite anytime they otherwise do not have much of a clue what they are up against. Yes, people react to things they put in their mouth and swallow, even when those things actually constituted actual food. Unfortunately, many people have been trained by their doctors to draw the line here, spend the rest of their life in fear and avoiding all that they are increasingly told they are "allergic to"... "have a nice day, thanks for playing, see/pay the woman on your way out, we prefer cash, check or credit card."
