Cavitations and thrush

Hi Torrie,

I was wondering if you could give me some information about thrush in the mouth and cavitaions. I have had thrush in my mouth for a couple of years now. I had my mercury fillings (6) removed in late 2004 and had my cavitions cleaned in Feb 2006. I seems to have fungal infection of the gums which makes them very red although they do not hurt. I also have thush on my tongue and inner cheeks. I have had my tonsils removed and on one side where I typically have problems (stopped up ear and throat), for example, when I use GSE nasal drops, I get severe itching where the I feel plugged up which leads me to believe there is yeast there. I also have had skin problems(redness and cysts) in approximation where the cavitations/ yeast are located.

My question is this. Is this common with cases like mine? If the yeast was living because of the diseased tissue surrounding the cavitations and mercury, now that it is gone, will I be able to eventually restore the integrity of my oral cavity? I have been following an anti-candida diet since March, take antifungals and have done 3 liver flushes to date. Since I started the LF's, I have noticed a slight exacerbation of the thrush and was wondering if it was not trying to make its way out. I have seen some improvments like my dandruff is lessening and my ear has been getting less stopped up since I began using the GSE nasal spray? I cannot seem to put a dent in the thrush in my mouth though. Is that the last to go?

Any advice of what could help speed up this healing process? If your patients have thrush like mine, have they successfully cleared it up after treatment? Thanks.
