Root Canals Restoration. Please advice.
Dear Torrie!
Just found your forum and wanted to thank you. I don't think there are any words to describe what you are doing for all of us. Simply THANK YOU!
I am writing from Russia. There are no Biological dentists here. Most dentists don't understand the Amalgam toxicity and none are aware of the root canal health problems.
I an asking everyone for an advise. I have put a post in the general dental forum, but then found yours and reposting it here.
I am facing a dilemma with my old root canals. I've had them done some 7-8 years ago and they don't give me any problems. They seem to be done pretty well, but in an old conventional way with Gutta Percha and they have metal rods in them. It's hard to tell if my root canals are infected or not, but I assume that they are. I have a long history with periodontal disease, I've had seven amalgam fillings and four crowns. I would think that my root canals are infected and should be redone in more "Biologically Compatible" way. Or should I just have them pulled out and try to put Implants instead? What do you think? What Implants - Zirconium oxide?
My dentist here is very skilled and have dome an excellent job replacing my amalgam fillings with composite and ceramic fillings, but he doesn't understand the Root Canal Hazards and therefore can't give me an adequate advice.
I am leaning towards restoration of my two root canals with Biocalex, putting new support rods made of Zirconium oxide, and crows over them. Can you please recommend the best way to go about it and the best materials to use?
I would greatly appreciate your advice!
Thank you very much in advance!
