Re: What have you healed with reiki?
All healing is self-healing, and so reiki
is very effective in raising the vibration
of someone and the Master or practitioner
acts as the channel for healing which can
range from subtle to dramatic.
I have worked with people who were critically
ill to help them heal, and I have worked with
critically ill people to help them let go.
I really like working on animals which soak
up reiki, but also have worked on people for
years. The reiki seems to always have shifted
things for people. Sometimes, a person was not
ready and would not come again. I had one woman
who was intent on healing emotional trauma and
would come out of the session very angry since
the energy brought up stuff and she would be
grateful since she had found the reiki was one
of the more effective ways she had found to
get in touch with those emotions. Once she had
processed what had come up for her, I would see
her again, back for another layer...
When I reiki people, I am working on all issues
and so while someone may come with fibromyalgia
or
Arthritis or any number of physical issues,
the healing can run the gamut of emotional to
having spiritual awakenings. Again, I cannot
emphasize enough that my belief is that all
healing is self-healing so whatever someone
wants to work on, their psyche or highest
intent will direct the energy there.
Certainly, healing in an emergency situation
works well as it brings the vibration up rather
quickly and being focused is better than being
in fear or pain.
I feel that in my own healing journey, that my
reiki friends supported me energetically when I
was running on empty. I worked on my friend every
day and he had many physical issues as well as
cancer and years later, he is walking without a
cane and he was successful in his healing. He
and I were both healed of cancer...and reiki was
part of our healing plan...
Another woman I lived and worked with was told
she would be in a wheelchair for the rest of her
life. She healed herself out of the bed, the
wheelchair, the cane, and while running is not
in her future, she married and went on to be
a million miles away from the prognosis all the
"experts" had planned for her.
There are countless people over the years who I
helped with their healing and I suppose the proof
of the pudding was they returned again and again.
One last anecdotal story I will leave you with...
Some of the people I took my classes with were
nuns who worked at St. John's hospital. I do not
remember how they came to reiki, but certainly,
since reiki is so much like very focused prayer,
there was not conflict of interest really. Anyway,
one of the nuns was head of the neonatal unit and
said, time after time, a doctor would leave and
assure them that an infant would not make it through
the night. The nuns would use reiki and hold the
babies all night and come morning, it never failed,
the doctor would be surprised and families blissed
out that the child had survived.
As a subtle healing story, my daughter would participate
in cross country meets and seemed to endlessly beg for
me to do reiki on her claiming it helped her a lot.
Of course, I never refused and it also allowed us
both to share a loving and healing space together...
There are plenty of other stories you can find
if you google Reiki Healing.
In Missouri, when I left, they were actually going
to get reiki approved for use in hospitals, it has been
so effective. By its nature, it is not easy to discern
exactly how the energy works or where it is working but
it certainly can be shown to work in a comprehensive
way.
I wish you well on your healing path~~
blessings,
Zoe
