Finding Relief from Depression and Long Term Illness

We call emotions all types of things – from fear, depression, despair, guilt, grief … into revenge, rage and anger … into blame, frustration and being overwhelmed …into pessimism and hopefulness and optimism .. into expectation, love, joy and self empowerment … and all sorts of other emotional words somewhere in between that emotional scale.

But if you want to be on the healing path, there is only one emotion that you want to reach for each day, every day, all day.

And that is the EMOTION of RELIEF.

When you feel despair, and you reach for thoughts that feel less awful, and you find anger, you feel relief.

If you feel anger and you reach for thoughts that cause frustration, you feel relief.

If you feel like blaming others and you find thoughts of pessimism, you feel relief.

If you feel pessimistic and you find thoughts of hopefulness, you feel relief.

If you feel optimism and find thoughts of love, you feel relief.

If you’ve ever been full of fear and totally down, and you found that breath of fresh air that anger gave you, you know the amazing feeling of relief that anger can offer.

I’m not encouraging you to stay in anger, but if you use that anger to go with the flow, and keep finding feelings of relief from better feeling thoughts, you slowly move yourself into self empowerment.

So, if you will allow yourself to just let go of the thought that keeps you in despair and find a slightly better feeling thought, you have started on the journey to self healing.

There are always two journeys going on at the same time: The physical one and the Emotional one.

You can have the physical manifestation of Arthritis, Cancer or Candida AND Depression at the same time, OR you can have Arthritis, Cancer or Candida AND Hope at the same time.

Which journey do you suppose attracts well being? Which journey helps you focus on getting and being well? Which journey will attract inspired action? Which journey will lead to full recovery?

You will come to understand the emotional journey to wellness is about getting in touch with your feelings and finding better feeling thoughts that allow you relief, wherever you are at the moment.

So, take a little time to clarify where you are emotionally right now. If you are in despair, and you find anger, YES! You are on the right track. But if you are in frustration and you find Anger, you are on the wrong track.

So, it’s always very important to know exactly which emotion you are feeling in order to understand which type of thought is going to create a better feeling, to allow for relief.

When you have the attitude of trying to make something happen, but you focus on what you don’t want, you feel worse.

When you try to affect a healing, you feel worse.

When you set goals that you find difficult to achieve, you feel worse.

When you beat the drum of where you are, and attract those that sympathise with you and join forces to compound where you are, you feel worse.

There’s something in the attitude of trying so very hard that always makes you feel worse.

So, isn't it time just to let go and allow your dominant intention be to FIND RELIEF in your thoughts?
