Fascinating but debate? Hum?
I am new to this community and this is one topic that has caught my attention way more than once. Perhaps because it is a familiar topic for me ...long ago, before it was the popular topic for debate it seems to be here, my young children found the information while scrolling thru cyber space and ask me to participate in the study. We took the test and measures and found, not to our surprise, a commonality- a fit - and a language we could use to better understand many of the why ?'s in our lives.
Then, and here is the important part, we went on about our lives, our attention focused on the living of each breath. While understanding the concept of Indigo Children [Yes, a concept or construct] was helpful and important, we did not wave that flag to justify our differences or our similarities and for sure, we were careful not to use the information to set ourselves apart from or superior to other human beings! {This would not be a very enlightened Indigo thing to do, Right?]
To put this so called new information in perspective... concepts or the naming of thing does not make it new... clusters of like-minded or similar traited, unusually gifted or out-of-the-norm humans have always been a part of our communities. Remember the frenzy of the witch trials? or the inquistion? or more recently the fuss over Generation X, Y and ? ... well you get the picture.
chew on this... The Boomers who came to our community, by the thousouds I might add, came with the skills, strength and consciousness to change our sexual behavior and values, our economy, and our polotics and culture. they made a huge impact. Steven Covey says we are moving into The Wisdom Age now [vs the Information age] ---
Hopefully the Indigo Children, along with the other yet unnamed clusters of consciousness will have as much success.
Pondering the Peace of it all!
