Re: Be calm and relax dont let the Dr tell you........

Well, we have definitely made the lifestyle changes!! It has been a little over 3 months since we found out that this growth was malignant. It's been about 2 1/2 since we incorporated the lifestyle, mostly diet, changes. I guess I'm just getting a little scared. The surgeon painted a terrible picture of what will happen to my husband if this thing spreads, and so far he hasn't noticed much, if any, change. How long do we let this go on? While everything in me screams against this surgery, I don't want to lose him either.

Then, when the surgeon commented that a sarcoma is different from a carcinoma and is not affected by diet etc., it has really planted a seed of doubt and fear that is hard to shake.

I too believe that God's original plan for nutrition is the best way to go...and for the most part, we've embraced that wholeheartedly. I just don't know how long to wait, how much to believe that the doctor tells me....the ironic thing is that for five years my husband was going to doctors and specialists to try and find out why he was having these "asthma" attacks and his breathing and voice so raspy. Five years!! They treated him for asthma and acid reflux and it was only by fluke that they found the growth finally. Had they discovered this five years ago, it could have been removed and it would not have destroyed his trachea like it has now...along with his larynx and thyroid. But now that we want 3-6 months to explore ALL the options, time is an issue!! Of course, if things go bad, they will blame it on the 3-6 months, not the five years they spent doing nothing!!

Sorry, I'm feeling a little bitter tonight....gotta deal with that. Anyway, I appreciate the replies...and no, we could never afford the Mexico thing. We have nine children and my husband is in sales and is the sole supporter. He hasn't worked in six months, savings are all gone....so $30,000 is out of the question unfortunately.
