Re: fasting and celulite
Fasting to completion is fasting until you are completely clean inside basically. All toxins are removed from the body and it is literally clean inside and out. Your breath is clean and even your sweat doesn't stink. This usually coincides with using up all your stores- fat etc- and then refeeding is truly a process of rebuilding the body to beyond it's former glory, which typically happens very quickly following the correct refeeding principles.
There are some cases when our stores are used up prior to cleaning out being completed, either due to having inadequate stores pre-fast or due to the actual detox and repair work the body needs to do requiring more time and energy than it can complete with the stores available. This can especially happen with very serious diseases, however fasting can then resume as soon as the recovery period for the first fast has been completed and the second fast will continue the work started by the first.
Many Fasting supervisors I have read, like Shelton, say that fasting to completion is the best thing to do in any case. I don't necessarily disagree with that assessment but know that it is very difficult to accomplish in normal day to day 21st century life. Typically a fast to completion would be supervised at least and most often would be done in a dedicated fasting retreat under constant supervision. And the people who suggest fasting to completion are usually suggesting to do it in that fashion, not on your own at home while still having to earn your dollars and function in a society in which fasters may as well be aliens from outer space. ;)
I'm not saying it can't be done by us mere home fasters, but it certainly doesn't need to be done all at once. If the body needs X amount of days of freedom from digestion to repair itself of whatever dis ease that is rampant in it then it will make those repairs in that time whether we do it all at once or in stages- give or take a few days or so at most. It's not like all the toxins will just magically reappear from the air when we break our fast prematurely or the repaired flesh and organs somehow just deteriorate and putrify overnight again.
