Re: Dog's ears are not getting better!
Hi Beth
We use "Thornit powder" for the ears twice a week. I load up a cotton wool bud, and put that in each ear. That helps dissolve wax and also kills off any mites. The breed of dog I have also means they need the hairs in their ears plucked regularly, and the thornit powder helps by softening the hairs.
I also suggest you play with his ears more ... not just when you want to put stuff in it. Let him feel the pleasure of having his ears played with, mix the playing with his ears and give him a treat at the same time (I know labs love food!) .. and that will create a new pleasurable experience.
Focus on what you want, see the healing in your minds eye, focus on all that is already great. The ears will heal when you release the resistence. Resistence being "Why hasn't it worked yet? .. when will they heal? Nothing is working!"
Only look for the improvements, and grow those. His cells know what to do to heal, and you holding him as your point of positive, expectant attention can influnce that. I know you know this.
Love
