Except for one point...

Why would anyone give everything they have, up front, to 'prove' their dedication to any cause?

Wouldn't it be better for the leader of such a cause to ask for whatever the 'believer' cares to donate?


I suspect that an accurate description of that particular leader can be found in the book, "The Peter Pan Syndrome."
