Vitamin C / MSM in pet shops, usable by humans?

This may be an obviously stupid question or not, but its stumped me.

In my local pet shop, pure vitamin c powder and pure msm powder are dirt cheap. The ingredients listed are just Ascorbic Acid for the pure vit c powder, or Methylsulfonylmethane for the pure msm powder. They seem to be for horses.

As it all seems to be exactly the same apart from price, is there any difference between these and ones you get from vitamin shops? Would I, as a human, be able to take them too?
