Meat27, I just thought I'd react to your message. I have had IBS for years, but it was VERY manageable. Until Mirena ruined it all. I have had nausea for months, and stomach pains. My GP didn't have a clue where it all came from. My Mirena has been out for three weeks now, and most of my side effects have either gone completely or are much less. Except for the IBS, which is going back and forth. Especially right before my period, which I had a week ago, it really hurt and I got some other nasty side effects back, including the nausea. I guess it takes a lot of time for your body to get back to normal. I read somewhere that it takes 20 hours per day that you've had the Mirena inside you, I hope that's not true but it makes sense. Take care. Chances are it's still the Mirena inflicting this.
