I don't have health insurance, I am self employed, and I am not sure I would use MD's if they gave me their services free. As a psychologist, I think most people in the US suffer from what I call Industrial Disease. They hate their jobs, they live miserable lives because they have to work to keep their 'benefits', which consist of rationed, lousey, traditional health care. They get sick because they are miserable, and then they get stuck further into what almost amounts to slavery.

Of course you can use pet medicines, I know a lot of people who have done it. You can buy erythomycin at fish stores, and you can buy almost naything you need from a good feed and grain store.

You can purchase praziquantel from a fed and grain store, if you don't have access to an MD.

I don't recommend it, depending on what you have, the herbs are slower, but a lot safer.
