Re: Mitral valve prolapse

Certainly one aspect of mitral valve prolapse is the decreased ability to properly form collagen structure in which copper is critical. This copper deficiency can result in weak valves and result in leaky heart valves, hernias. This is commonly seen in underweight people (tall and thin) typically with skin problems and decreased energy.

I fit all these (MVP, hiatal hernia, fatigue, dry skin) and hair analysis does show very low copper. Low energy levels are due to limited absorption of iron due to low levels of copper.

Copper is your friend! (I have been supplementing it at low doses along with sulfur).
I take E-lyte copper sulfate and it's easy to see whether you need or not as your tongue will tell whether it tastes good to you (it tastes pleasantly sweet to me). When you don't need it anymore the taste will change to unpleasant.

I also take carnitine and glutamine which helps feed heart muscles.
