Pelican Stamps

This is probably a total fluke, but I just received a new roll of stamps by mail from our USPS which I ordered before Katrina. I received Pelican stamps.

How long ago was the issue of this Pelican stamp?

That is the state bird of New Orleans, no? This is probably really stupid and nothing, but anymore, I question EVERYTHING....because I know that the Illum. likes to show off their handiwork. It wouldn't be the first time, that's for certain!

I will have to research this...
