The dubious pedigree of this paper was equally debased from it's inception in the form of founder David Lawrence (1888-1975), D.C. insider and Patriarchal Oval Office mouthpiece extraordinaire. Since the takeover in 1984, Zuckerman has remained about as fine of an example as there is of an establishment that not only poo poos (contradictory pun intended ;) the notion of keeping the bowels of one's temple clean, but has helped to perpetuate ignorance for this most basic principle of hygiene as a cultural standard.
