Where does one begin when it comes to Chelation?

I don't know if I have dangerous levels of heavy metal toxicity. I heard about the hair test and I suppose I would have to buy Cutler's test on how to do that and such. But before I buy anything, I'd like to know if I would need to do anything else before starting chelation such as bowel cleansing / Liver Flushing / stabilizing candida, etc. Any help is very much appreciated.
