I wrote that long ago and now am much smarter but it still holds true.

High quality protein is essential to the body's pH maintenance.

As for minerals; azomite, concentrace, Sea Salt . The idea is to get a balance of minerals, since excess of one can cause toxicities. They all work together and it is very complex. That is why I don't think people should supplement individual minerals; you are setting yourself up for more problems (unless you know what you're working with; i.e. you've had a hair mineral analysis done and/or are working with a knowledgeable professional to rebalance yourself)

Personally, I think too much emphasis is placed on acidosis (alkalosis is just as bad!) and how to correct this SYMPTOM of dis-ease. When you are properly nourished your body can and will maintain proper pH, no problem.
