Re: Cod liver oil- isn't a liver full of toxins?
I think cod liver oil would be excellent for you. Several years ago, I bit the bullet and began taking cod liver oil by the spoonful. It smells so bad you have to keep the oil and the spoon in the refrigerator. The difference in taking it that way and taking the capsules is amazing.
I have always worn contacts, and while contact prescriptions do have to be made stronger with age, they rarely have to be made weaker. Well, I made wonderful progress with my vision.
Now I am taking the capsules and am not seeing the progress I did with the liquid.
I have oily skin, but I still have a real high need for Vitamin A. I have to take high doses of it all the time, plus my cod liver oil. If not, I have severe mucuous problems. It is the only thing that will help a chest cold if I get one.
No one knows why certain people have high needs for certain things. Your dry skin shows you really need oil and whatever else you need to absorb that oil. I think cod liver oil is a good start for you.
