Not everyone passes these 'strands'. My friend in UK says she has never passed anything like that and she most certainly has candida overgrowth. I've seen them in my bm maybe a handful of times over many many years period. Candida clings to the intestinal walls so it makes sense you would not see it. When I pass it in my stool it comes out a white cloudy mixture in the water, not wrapped in the bm ( --It's dead ). ( sorry to be so graphic but I was trying to be helpful :-)
