Hi, yes I know what you mean about figuring out exactly what's going on.
For adrenal support, glandulars are good, I use them myself. Ashwagandha and gota kola are good adrenal herbs. I've used both of them. Also licorice.
B vitamins and vit C also support the adrenals. I've never tried things like cortisone etc.
Generally try to not get overstressed physically and mentally. Things like meditation and deep breathing are good for regulating cortisol and thereby taking stress off the adrenal glands.
Try and get your blood Sugar under control so eat little and often, including suffficient protein and cutting out sugar, stimulants and high glycaemic foods.
