Great Post Zoe B! Today is a banner day for important and timely posts and this is another one.
One thing that irks me is that much of the contamination comes from the manufacturers of pesticides here in the US that export or manufacture the same pesiticides that have been banned in the US to the countries who use them on food crops imported back into the US.
Addressing our own industries who operate in such a slimy manner should also be part of the solution. Of course, big money talks and humanity takes a long walk off a short plank far too often in the now coporate UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INC.
As for what the FDA SHOULD do, how can they - they are already spread too thin protecting us from dangerous items like cherries, bitter melon and colloidal silver?
