If the electrodes are a little dirty you are doing it right. Clear means small particles. If you brew it for 4 hours it might turn a little yellow.

You can tell it your machine is working by using tap water (instead of distilled) for a few minutes. The water will be cloudy as compounds are produced. Pour it out when your done. Tweet
