Re: What is Real hunger?

I have never fasted to completion and felt true hunger. On my 30 day fast many years ago I had a rush of saliva come into my mouth and took that as a sign my body was ready to eat again and that my fast was over. I was wrong. When I broke my fast with fruits the correct way I soon felt toxins stuck in their release over my whole body- to me it feels like a mild ache in all my muscles.

I think we get told several symptoms of hunger but the main one that makes sense to me is that it isn't any one of those symptoms to watch for but that the whole body desires food in a way that most of us wouldn't have experienced before. I think to use an analogy it would be like trying to explain when to push to a mother in labour. Very hard to describe the sensation but it is not just a localised feeling but the whole body responding to the Need. And in both cases the Need is displayed by the whole body so we should notice the difference between Real Hunger and craving some chocolate.

Andrew.
