yes, it is read meat. in fact, it is the reddest of meat due to the naturally high iron content. i get mine from a local specialty meat shop, and its expensive, about $15 per pound for the steaks, but the ground is less expensive.
this meat is so tender it just melts in your mouth. there is virtually no gristle, its very clean looking and tasting.
but i am speaking of 100% grass fed buffalo. a package may say "grass fed" on it but that usually means it was partially grass fed then finished off with corn, soy, and other grains. there is a big difference between partially grass fed and 100% grass fed. ruminants were NOT meant to eat corn or other grains.
