Lugol Difference's Question?
I'm just going to go ahead with this question here becuase I think everyone needs to take a look at my issue and theory. Please give me an answer, but be nice by not insulting me! I'm not freaking out over this but a bit puzzled.
I have (only) ordered
Lugol's through JCrow 3 times now. The first time I ordered was in the spring. The bottle came with the Ricca label and reads
Health-2,
Flammbility 0,
Reactivity 0,
side of label reads HMIS.
Reageant Grade for
Iodine and potassium iodide.
This Ricca
Iodine has almost NO ODOR! I've been using it internally and painting. I've not gotten pimples that I could not handle like others have described. Strong metal detox at 10 drops per day and have used it at 20 drops for 2 weeks. It does not stay on my skin as long and definately never stings. My eyes react when I open the bottle in that they feel like they get dry and tingle.
My second order (2 bottles) of
Lugol's this summer came in the form of Ruger's and one bottle had leaked about 10% of the contents of which I could smell as soon as I opened the box. When I opened the bottle it almost floored me becuase I was not expecting such a horrible smell. When I do apply to skin my nose twitches and my eyes water.
This bottle reads:
Health-2,
Flammbility 1,
Reactivity 0
Health Protection C,
Side of label reads Hazard Index.
Other information- Iodine...4.5-5-5g/100ml
Potassium
Iodide (ki)...9.5-10.5g/100ml
I won't take the Ruger's internally, which is what I ordered it for, becuase of my concern about the odor and difference in label. In the last 2 days I've tested the Ruger's against the Ricca, and it stings the skin which makes since when I read post here where poster's state that it stings the skin. My Ricca never stings! There is even a difference in application in that Ruger's runs on the skin and Ricca does not. I used the same brush for both but had to work with lightening speed to catch the drips from the Rugers. Ricca is not as dark and does not leave a stain on my counter or clothes if I spell it like Ruger's does. I painted one side of my stomach with Ricca and the other with Ruger's and Ricca is completely gone with Ruger's staining my clothes and still on skin. Same test on hips and bottom of feet. It does not appear that my body is licking up the Ruger's like it licks up the Ricca.
Could the Ruger not be Reagent Grade since there is no where on the label that says it is, like the Ricca states on it's label? I'm very concerned about this, so I need someone with a good solid background to give me an answer. I have talked to JCrow and did feel comfortable with the answer but now I am concerned since I've actually started using the Ruger's. (I don't want to waste the Ricca on the skin if I can't use the Ruger's internally.) Is anyone else using the Ruger's with the exact label and how are you using it? Does it have a strong odor?
I'm sure I am not the only one with the Ruger's since it was also sent to my mom and sister.
Just so you know I am not a troll and would never do that here becuase I have way to much respect for the VWT team to play mind games with those who are new to this forum. To those who do post a reply-Thanks ahead of time for your reply! HH
