CS when steel is in the mouth??

HI, i am a CS user, I have stopped for the last 2 weeks due to a new lip piercing i did myself. (i know, tell me Im crazy)...the jewelry consists of a 316L implant grade surgical steel flatback labret.. I am worried that if I swish the silver, it will react to the metal somehow. Well, I am starting to feel a cold come on, and I need to know what you guys think about using CS, or should i just take it up the sinuses to limit any reaction??
