Re: Pain around my Adam's Apple

There have been reports of transient pain around the thyroid area, which usually subsides after a few days. There are two options one has when experiencing any type of detox: to pull back or to push through. You have tried pushing through by increasing the dose, which should ostensibly run out the problem faster.

If it gets too uncomfortable, I suggest you pull back. Stop the Iodine for a day or two, or three and increase the salt protocol to more than once per day. That will give your body a chance to catch up. Also be sure you are having three BMs per day so that whatever your body is kicking out will go in the can and not recirculate in your body. My gut feeling is that by increasing and then stopping the Iodine you will resolve it faster, so hopefully you did the right thing.

My cousin had some success in painting that area to relieve tenderness - don't know if it was the same cause. Would not hurt to try. You can paint even though you are on an Iodine break from oral doses.
