Re: painting...I also stayed away from cotton (q-tips, etc.)...too absorbent. When I was doing mesentery painting...I just targeted the drops right on my solar plexus area...swirled it around with my finger...and then let it dry. If you are painting an area that is more difficult to reach...I would use one of those synthetic painter's sponges on a stick...or a synthetic paint brush. They will not absorb the Lugols like a natural material...cotton, sponge, hair... applicator would.

I will be excited to hear about your experience with the Iodoral &/or Lugols. It will be interesting to hear the comparison.

In the meantime...I will be doing a bit of Iodine pellet sleuthing! Your ND is getting those goodies from somewhere...and I am certain s/he is not the only one!! Now...to track them down!!!
