Re: The world is so full of...
You have posted that you do not take iodine. Yet you post to no end on iodine. It is wonderful that you have an opinion, but you know what they say about opinions, everyone has one. You posted under speedy until you were banned and now you are spdina. I see both posters as very intelligent, detail oriented, and one who probably has done things other people could not imagine themselves capable of doing. I see spdina as a little more restrained, for which I am grateful.
You came out of nowhere posting on
Iodine as if you had years and years of experience with iodine, and that experience had taught you that high doses were dangerous. You began posting as a manager or an Authoity in forums where you had no proper understanding of those forums.
One of the reasons I recognize you as this is because I am one. I can size up a situation quickly and can be very authoritative, and am very often right. Whatever others can do, I can see a better way to do it. This is often a prescription for trouble. People do not like someone coming in and taking over. Public relations skills are needed, as well as great restraint.
Your organizational ability is evident. And it is obvious you are ready and able to fix everyone's problems - you might be good at it too. But would it be appropriate to go into an establishment or business and tell them how they should run it? Even if you know you are right? What would the business do? Perhaps tell you that when you have walked a mile in their shoes and have learned from trial and error as they have, you Might, just Might be able to offer a suggestion, with no expectation of it being accepted. Until then, you appear as a know-it-all who knows nothing.
I have found in myself that if I concentrate on other peoples' problems and possible solutions, that I am not concentrating on myself. Sometimes I even use it as an excuse, because if I share my great wealth of knowledge, I feel self esteem. But it is not self esteem, it is codependency. It is always easier to run someone else's life than it is my own. Took me a long time to learn that people have to live their own lives and what they think is none of my business.
With the more restrained spdina, you have had some success and made some allies, or at least earned some respect. I hope you will continue to be restrained.
You have made your point that you do not think high doses of
Iodine are good and are possibly even dangerous. Enough already. You do not have to post this same opinion twice per day, even if it is your right. It is simply not helpful to beat it to death - more, it is offputting. It is obvious you are on a mission to convince people not to take high doses of iodine. I just shake my head when I see your posts and I wonder why you are so driven about it, especially since you have not tried therapeutic doses of
Iodine and are just finding information on the net to back up your opinions. It seems you are obsessed with convincing everyone that you, and only you, are right.
If the above does not ring true to you, I am sorry. It took me many years to be restrained with my opinions and I hope you will find some help in my words.
