I think Plzchuckle is right.

Throw away your old toothbrush.

Juicing is your best bet to help you get living enzymes and high concentrations of easily-digested nutrients. It will help raise your pH from acid levels (0-6.9 pH) to neutral or alkaline levels (7.0 and up), which will support your immune system as it battles this infection. It might be all you can handle consuming right now.

Recommended juice:
1 carrot (important to sweeten the otherwise bitter juice)
Any of the following:
lettuce, cabbage, parsley, water cress, endive, bok choy, radish leaves (you're too sensitive for the roots right now), spinach, green/yellow/orange/red sweet bell peppers, celery. No tomatoes. Anything that you can put in a green salad can be juiced.
If you can handle it, a single clove of raw garlic added to the mixture and juiced is beneficial as it has anti-bacterial properties and aids the immune system.
I've modified the flavour slightly by adding sesame seed oil and/or worcestershire sauce (just a few drops). If you can't eat, you might be craving meat right now, and this will help.

About Citrus juices:
Even though the fruits themselves are acidic, they are converted in the body to alkaline, and help to raise the body's overal pH levels to neutral or alkaline. Also, if you don't have a juicer, you can hand-squeeze these fruits and drink the juice.

Wild-crafted or organic oregano oil from the Mediterranean area (Greece, Sicily, Turkey...) has tremendously healing properties. The tough part for you is getting started with them, if your mouth is so sensitive. Whatever method you choose, as soon as the pain is reduced even a bit, give this supplement a try. It is effective at killing bacteria and fungi and is as strong as anything you might get at the doctor's office, without the side effects.

I REALLY REALLY recommend eating apples with the skin on. You can cut them into small pieces or even puree them in a blender, to reduce the pain of having solids in your food, but don't cook them. So far, I've had 100% cure rate with canker sores by eating raw apples with the skin on over 4 days. If your problem is canker sores, this should help you.

You can get pH strips ($15) and oregano oil (about $25 - 35, I forget exactly) both from Vitacost. They'll have it at your door in about 2 - 3 days. Of course, there are many other online sources, I just thought it would help to have one name to start with. Do NOT click the "free postage" button on the top right, there are problems associated with that.

Good luck!
