Re: re: Molly Bloom's coconut/iodine mask - respost

Thanks for asking. It's working wonderfully for me. (Thanks again Laura)

I first rub my face with a lemon. Let is sit until almost dry (to bleach out spots)

Then I put a mixture of sesame, coconut and Iodine smeared on my face, heavily but not dripping. I always have something nearby in case it feels like it's going to drip.

I have been experimenting, and have started adding enough Iodine until I feel a definite tingle. I let it stay on my face until it gets itchy (usually about 15-20 minutes).

Seriously, I've been doing it for a week, and starting on about the third day people were making comments about my complexion. I've always had dry to mixed skin, but I have zero dryness now.

I'm hoping that the Iodine will repair the skin and the oils will enhance the absorbtion. Also I read somewhere that Sesame Oil is great for Acne and pores due to it's anti-bacterial properties. It's doing something. I'll report back in about 3 more weeks. I don't know, perhaps I'll look like a pizza face by then? LOL....it's all self experimentation anyway.

Hugs, Molly
