The last two videos in that post seem to indicate a possibility that an alliance could have developed by now between extraterrestrial lfe and the U.S. government (or at least they are well tolerated).

Star Trek enlisted "logicians" ("weird science" researchers/writers) in writing their scripts. The relevance of possible "klingon" could be just someone's idea of a joke, or it may be more relevant to alien operations/collusion with some form of secret gov't. research and developement (highly speculative until you consider the gov't.'s desire to "terraform" and efforts to put a hotel in space).

It can be speculated that Crop Circles have a geometrically functional purpose/message instead of just being navigational "landmarks" (or else were the ancients obsessed with "art"?).

With the condition of the earth today (climate change/ future reduction of world's habitable land mass, world food shortage, widespread severe drought, new disease epidemics, solar flares and "solar maximum" threatening earth in 2012) and the threat of asteroid "APOPHIS" threatening earth in 2036, is it so unreasonable that the "crazed" factions of the U.S. gov't. would think of colonizing other planets as THEIR "safe haven". (nah, they're GOOD, sane people!!).
