If your body needs it then your body will let you know...start slow and if Iodine gives positive feeling, then yes, your body needs it, if you feel wierd, sick or off then back away and try something else.
I think it is safe to start with any form, but I prefer natural organic sources. Personally, I believe atomic Iodine is the safest form if you want to go the drug route, but the most natural form is a kelp supplement and that is the best source!!!
