Poem for my late dog, Mandi
This morning, while listening to some beautiful music, I felt inspired from my heart to write this poem for Mandi, our Huskie Shepherd dog who died from Diabetes.
I know it's not a professional poem, and any critic can pick it apart for errors, but just don't care about that.
"Mandi, you will always be my girl,
When life escapes my shell,
And Once again, I see you and can tell
That you are running, prancing once again,
With *Buster at your side in fields of green.
I feel your soul still faithful here,
I know you are near.
Before you were born I saw you,
I will see you once again.,
Through happy tear I'll run with you
In the fields of Heaven then."
*Buster was our other late dog who died 2 years prior to Mandies death. He was hit by a car, and Mandi continued to sniff the area he died at even two years later. She was more depressed after his death. The two were kindred animal spirits.
