Hot-cold therapy helps my iodine uptake
I have been trying out hot steam/infrared sauna/cold plunges this week. I went to a spa in Toronto called Body Blitz. For $45 you soak/swim in a fairly large warm dead
Sea Salt pool first, then sit in a hot eucalyptus steam room, then hotter still the infrared sauna. Then cold plunge in 66 degree water pool, next a hot tub with green tea, and can end in the dead
Sea Salt pool, but I like to do the circuit a few times to get more circulation.. Yes this relates to iodine, just a sec. So the heat pushes blood to the surface, forcing toxins and pathogens out, the cold pushes blood to the core, bringing nutrients from clean blood to the organs. And cold on the thryroid stimulates the endocrine system. The circulation is so great the blood passes through the liver more times and gets cleaner, while toxins are drawn away from organs and out surface blood and sweat.
This must have been the detox I needed because when I got home I drank 4 drops of
Lugol's Iodine and didn't did a tense feeling from it. Usually I cannot take that much
Iodine at once. So I'm doing a free form of this therapy at home in my shower, turning the hot nozzle on and off. I get so much oxygen from it I can't believe it. The long deep breaths are automatic and last through to morning when I notice I am not shallow breathing anymore, and I feel really good upon waking. Now the
Iodine seems to be getting to my system rather than making a beeline to my brain and causing tension. I can start with my infrared sauna blanket for a good sweat, then do the hot/cold showers 3 or 4 times ending with the cold.
