This is a lot of info on adrenals, what they do, what can go wrong, etc. -- but for someone who is unable to spend a lot of time researching online (I am so sympathetic!) this may be a good place to start. He uses a system of most important info in bright red type, etc. that makes going through it pretty quickly.
I had a friend who took adrenal supplements at one point (dessicated cow or pig adrenal...yum!) but said they were very helpful (he did not do steroids and was trying to overcome it w/o allopathy).
I scanned through this and agree with whomever said to do the cortisol/saliva test to look for the elevated cortisol levels. Otherwise the signs and symptoms look a lot like being a mostly single twins mom! ;) I think I will investigate getting a kit.
