I'm trying to see your dream in a not so threatening light.
Since all dream characters represent some aspect of ourselves
this battle would indicate a struggle between two aspects of your masculine nature.

I'm wondering if you wish your significant other was more forceful
less reliant on you to take the lead...
If that part of you would have to die-for that to be accomplished.
This is all conjecture, but another way of looking at this dream.
