Re: Has this diet help anyone get pregnant? Just Curious?

Hi, I wouldn't recommend a total vegetarian diet for an 'O'. I do not eat a lot of meat, but I do feel that I need what I do eat. I also eat salmon and other fish. I think there is a lot in this diet. At times I've not been too sure, but the more I understand the more I respect it. A lot of supplements that do not agree with me, I've found out are avoids. So now I go with the beneficials. For example, Aloe, Evening P.O., St. Johns Wort, all are avoids, and all disagree with me.

If you are hoping to get pregnant soonish, I would pay attention to the beneficials, although you do not have to eat huge quantities of them, eat fewer avoids, tapering these off as much as possible, and fill up on beneficials and neutrals.

I have three children, I had them before I'd heard of the BTD, but strangly the way I ate in pregnancy was to go with what I felt right for me. Looking back now, most of it was BTD compatible.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

ps. I also had a miscarriage, it was before I had my first child. I was so worried it would happen again. It didn't. It happens to quite a few first pregnancies, and is not necessarily diet related.
