Re: Iodine-deficient soils in the U.S. the "goiter belt"

So much for the Iodine tree theory, from some of the Yankee territory at least.

If I wanted to make tree iodine, I'd just get a gallon of 2% Lugols, mix in some walnut juice, maple syrup and some sorghum, possibly a little pineol, tea-tree oil, etc. and then PRESTO MAGICO.

My Texas pecan "tree iodine" is awesome Made my second batch last night from my neighbor's tree. We're lucky our soils aren't Iodine deficient as in the goitrous belt. I also have vine iodine, bush Iodine (my favorite), wine iodine, and grass iodine.
