Tesla never built anything if he could not see it work in his mind. And he only built things that he saw would work.

One reporter asked Edison the definition of success and he replied "1% inspiration, 99% perspiration" that same reporter asked Tesla the same quetion and Tesla replied "If Edison thought more about what he was doing, he would not sweat so much!" LOL

Tesla built a engine that had 5 pieces and ran on Compressed AIR. When you get into the Science of it, that compressed air had been charged with solar energy and when squished has plenty of power.

Remember the little engine that could, well many trains ran on steam, and there were even some that ran on the very same principal. Those AIR TRAINS would pull into a huge station that would pump air into huge SCUBA dive tank like container (usually the tank or tanks were the size of a boxcar and they were designed to pop from the top (in case they were to be overfilled an explode.) These Air Trains fot 25% more power than the pure coal localmotive.

I believe rotary engines will perform very well with compressed air. There is approx 80% less friction resistance in rotary than ICEs' or diesel. Rotary are lighter too, giving many advantages that other engines can not do.

Seeing how advanced and courages the Japanese are for making the Rotary engine and then despite all opposition putting the Rotary on the market, I would like to suggest to them to make cars like the water boat, ( which has the engine in the back of the car, to turn on the jet) Make the rotary run on compressed air as a means of power. Make the vehicle All wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. And make it affordable to everyone.

Many prophets say many of the coastlines will be sunk in the ocean, Japan has been on the list for sinking. Just imagine, they create the Super Automobile, and when the coastlines rise they can still head for land. Actually this would be applicable to all coastlines.
