Why now?

Hello,

I would be so grateful for some advice...as follows.
I recently started a new job, and was quite pleased that I would have the opportunity to update my skills and basically get down to some hard work, this is quite important to me at present...I also want to leave a relationship that has been extremely difficult over past few years, that's probably an understatement.

However I have met someone at work who I really am attracted to. I can honestly say that I have not felt this strongly about someone in years... and this has turned things up side down so to speak. My concentration at work has been awful... I trully was not seeking anyone else, and this just adds to the confusion...I realise that I probably have not explained myself terribly well. This other person probably has no idea that I have feelings for them....and is probably not interested for all I know.

Why is it, that we always meet people we like, attacted to...when we really are not looking for anyone?

Any ideas Please....!
