Re: Wow..curezone.com is flooded with guests!
First i want to thank you for answering me about the
Iodine test.
I am new on the site and new on the subject(thyroid problems r/t iodine).
After you responded - I read some of your post and realized what a journey you had.
I must say that i am v.v lucky to find curezone and read this. I guess it's gonna safe me a lot of trouble wondering around looking in the wrong direction.
I was not diagnosed yet with thyroid - but reality is that i do have a problem and more and more looks like Hoshimoto (unfortunately).I am in the process of investigating it.
Now, i have this huge desire to ask you- how in the world is it possible that for 31 years no endocrinologist would advise you to take iodine???
Years back i went to one of the best hospitals in New York and check my thyroid(i was feeling tired with poor concentration, etc) but nothing major. They run the basic tests Now,looking back i wonder why nobody run the antibody test.I guess I looked too healthy(from the outside) or maybe just trying to please the insurance and run only the basics- so i was told that i'm tired-that's all(I was a workoholic and constantly under stress at the time.)
If just the simple thing of taking iodine(the main ingredient-thyroid needs)makes such a huge difference - than why all those meds??
I am answering under this post because despite the fact that i love and respect Oprah- and feel her pain-this might make a difference for a lot of people.
She's got a voice and someone has to hear it!!! So let the New York Times come to the site. There are so many people with this misdiagnosed disease. It's about time !!!
