Re: Topical Iodine questions

I use Lugol's 5% and skull & cross bones over-the-counter Iodine on all things topical with success. (bites, cuts, fever blisters)
I use Providine Iodine in my bath.

Here is what you do not want to do-
Never put it in your eyes or ears.
Never put a bandage over the OTC as it can cause burns with boils.

Here is what I do-
I paint both on straight under my clothes becuase most clothes breath. When I try to cover with bandage it stings like you know what and then burns the skin. Lugol's dose not have the same effect under a bandage so it much be the alcohol in the OTC. If I want to remove a skin tag then I use a drop of Iodine on the bandage and apply for no more then 5 minutes. This seems to work best for this application.
